Lashed together Prototype controller with 18F252 and prototype software. Motor direction is by relay select this also facilitate real motor isolation when switched off. The PWM Drive is and BUZ11 Totem pole driven by and IRF2201 FET hi/lo drive chip. The totem pole is driven in synchronous mode. i.e. FET 1 is on and FET 2 off and vice versa. There is some logic to enable this and to select both FET OFF for the ADC sample period
 
Equally thrown together simulated actuator i.e. DC motor and gearbox with Hall effect sensor to give position feedback. Please note the expert use of bluetack... I usually use this motor to wind transformers the hall effect device goes to a counter to count the turns and the arrangement of nuts and sticky tape holds the formers in place... Mr H Robinson could learn a few things here...
